Cypress Essential Oil
The Cupressus sempervirens tree is a member of the Cupressaceae family and can grow up to 30 meters tall with up to a 3 foot radius. This type of Cypress Tree is a Mediterranean Cypress and originally gew in Greece, the Eastern Mediterranean, Asia Minor, and Iran. However, this tree has also spread to Southern France and Spain.
Believed to bring comfort to those grieving, Cypress trees were commonly planted by headstones in old cemeteries. Cypress was traditionally used by early cultures as incense and as a diuretic, but now it's most commonly used for its aromatic properties that help with emotional stability.
