Clary Sage Essential Oil
The Salvia sclarea belongs to the Lamiaceae family and is a short biennial or perennial herb. The Clary Sage herb has two variations: Turkestanica and Vatican. We use the Turkestanica grows 1 meter tall with large, hairy leaves and has small bluish-purple flowers in contrast to its Vatican variation, which is a white flowering clary sage.
Clary Sage is derived from the the Latin word "clarus", meaning clarifying. In the modern day, it's also known as "The Women's Oil". It's been utilized over the years to help support women and balance hormones, and soothe skin.
